Charlie Connell (deceased) was a great all-around athlete who excelled in boxing, lacrosse, and football. He was considered one of the greatest modern day lacrosse players. He was with Mann Cup-champion Ottawa Emmetts in 1922, with champion Ottawa Senators, the Grey Cup champions in 1925 and 1926, and was also the amateur boxing champion of Canada.
